I am the first generation of my family born and raised in America. My family arrived here in 1988. They saved up a lot of money and migrated to America by boat.
I'm the first generation of my family to be born and raised in America. My dad arrived in America in 1983, and my mom and her family arrived in 1985. My dad came separate from his family because they couldn't afford to get all of them to America at once.
I am the only one out of three children to be born and raised in America. I'm also the only child from my mother's second marriage with a Chinese/Italian man.
